OUR CHURCH
St Andrews holds a unique place in the story of faith in Scotland, often described as the cradle of Scottish Christianity. To be part of a church in St Andrews is to share in that deep and living heritage, rooted in faith and continually renewed in service to others. As St Andrews New Kirk embarks on its new chapter of worship and fellowship we welcome you whether you are a member of one of the legacy congregations, a visitor, a student or a potential new member. Here you will find all the key details of when and where we worship, who we are and how to get involved. Worship within the Church of Scotland is for everyone regardless of age, nationality, status or ability. You are welcome to join us in person or on line.

OUR HISTORY
St Andrews New Kirk Church of Scotland came into being on 1 January 2026. The New Kirk is a union between Cameron and St Andrews St Leonard’s, and St Mark’s Parish Church in St Andrews. St Mark’s was itself a union between Hope Park Church and Martyrs Church (2010), and then between Hope Park and Martyrs and Strathkinness Parish Church (2022), after a 17-year linkage. Cameron and St Leonard’s was a 2025 union between Cameron Kirk and St Leonard’s Parish Church, after a 50-year linkage.

OUR BELIEFS
OUR VISION
“To be a welcoming, vibrant, and inclusive church with Christ at the heart of all we do - serving God and the community with love and commitment.”
OUR MISSION
“We have a calling and mission to share the Good News of Christ’s Gospel with all, through both word and action, to foster and nurture faith, compassion, social justice, and life in all its fullness within our community and beyond. We aspire to do this working alongside other churches, faith groups, and organisations that share the values of God’s Kingdom.”
PASTORAL CARE
Our Pastoral Care group supports members of the congregation of all ages and also run social events with refreshments and entertainment, specifically aimed at those who don’t manage to church as often as they used to though all are welcome. Church visitors regularly visit those who are ill, housebound or unable to attend church.
We are blessed with gifts of floral arrangements for the sanctuaries. Each Sunday the church flowers are delivered to a member of the congregation after the service.
GIVING
Giving is central to the life of our church, enabling us to sustain and grow our ministry both locally and globally. Through the generosity of the congregation, we are able to invest in the spiritual life of our community. To the many who already contribute so much, either financially, in time and effort or both, we thank you for your support.
If you have any questions on giving, please do not hesitate to contact the Finance team on finance@standrewsnewkirk.org.
Your support is much appreciated
